Mission: Louisiana Key Academy to provide students with dyslexia an evidence based education for the 1 in 5 children with dyslexia in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas.

About the School: Louisiana Key Academy's philosophy is based on years of research and practice with dyslexic children and adults by Drs. Sally and Bennett Shaywitz. They were consultants for our founding team and continue to consult with our LKA Board and school leadership. Our founding team visited highly successful private and public schools across the country, all of whom have a program that produces consistent results for dyslexic students. Louisiana Key Academy follows these same proven national best practices, including an evidence based curriculum that provides a structured, sequential multisensory language approach, to replicate the success in a public school environment.
